Equantu Kids / Nurplay Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 3, 2026

This policy explains how Nurplay processes information when you use the Equantu Kids / Nurplay app and connected smart speaker features.

Scope

This policy applies to the Nurplay mobile app, Nurplay smart speaker features, NFC cards, family voice, recording cards, prayer tools, white noise, shop surfaces, notifications, and related cloud services.

Information we process

Account and profile information may include email address, password or OAuth token, display name, avatar, login provider, and session information.

Device and card information may include serial number or device identifier, model, firmware version, online state, battery and charging state, playback state, device settings, NFC UID, card mapping, family membership, and playback history.

Location and prayer features may use precise or approximate location, city, country, timezone, calculation method, madhab, reminder settings, local cache, and service requests.

During provisioning, the app may process primary and backup Wi-Fi names (SSID), Wi-Fi passwords, device and family authorization information, and transfer that configuration to the speaker over Bluetooth.

Push registration may process the Firebase Cloud Messaging token, mobile device identifier, and platform information used to register notifications for the phone.

Information from feedback you submit may include the feedback text, an optional selected device reference, app version and build number, interface language, and platform and system version, and may be processed for support and troubleshooting.

Permissions

Camera access is used for QR and card scanning. Photo library access is used when you choose an avatar. Microphone access is used for recordings and family voice. Bluetooth and Wi-Fi state are used for provisioning and device setup.

Location may be used for prayer times, Qibla, provisioning, and older Android BLE behavior. Notifications and exact alarms may be used for family messages and prayer reminders.

Recordings and family audio

Recording cards and family voice can upload audio to Nurplay services and share audio within the family.

Received family voice messages may be automatically downloaded to the app local Documents/archive folder; older archive files may be removed after the archive grows beyond about 500 MB; user-saved copies are not automatically cleaned by that archive limit.

Shop and orders

Shop and order features may process cart details, order details, Shopify checkout data, cookies used by shop surfaces, and payment provider flow information. Nurplay does not claim to directly receive full payment credential details from payment providers.

How information is used

Information is used to provide app login, device setup, card binding, playback, family sharing, prayer reminders, support, security, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, product operation, and legal or dispute handling.

Service providers and sharing

Nurplay may rely on service providers such as Google Sign-In and Places, Apple Sign In, Firebase Cloud Messaging, Shopify and payment services, OpenStreetMap/Nominatim, ipapi.co, AzanTime, Nurplay backend services, and cloud media storage.

Information may be shared with these providers when needed to deliver the requested feature, operate infrastructure, process orders, send notifications, prevent abuse, or comply with applicable obligations.

Storage and security

Retention periods vary by data type, local archives, server records, backups, and service providers.

Account sessions use platform secure storage where supported. No app, network, or storage system can be guaranteed to be absolutely secure.

International processing

Nurplay is used across markets, and service providers or infrastructure may process information outside your country or region.

Children and guardians

Guardians should supervise children using Nurplay devices, family voice, recording cards, and NFC cards, and should avoid providing unnecessary child data through recordings, names, avatars, or messages.

Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, or portability of certain information, object to or restrict certain processing, withdraw optional permissions, or make a complaint to the relevant authority.

You can withdraw optional app permissions in system settings. Some information may be retained where required for legal, security, dispute, or backup reasons.

Delete your Equantu Kids account

In the app, open Settings → Account → Delete account. After identity verification and confirmation, your account and personal data are removed. If other members remain in your family, shared devices and cards stay with them. If you are the last member, devices are unlinked and cards are released. Removal of associated media from cloud storage may take additional time while the deletion queue retries.

If you no longer have the app, request account and associated data deletion by emailing equantullc@gmail.com with the subject “Equantu Kids account deletion request.” State the email used for your account, if any; do not send passwords or verification codes. Support will verify account ownership and process the request. This web pathway does not require reinstalling the app.

App-managed voice caches are cleared after in-app deletion. Audio files that you explicitly saved to your device, or exported outside the app, remain under your control and may need to be deleted from your device separately.

Updates and contact

Nurplay may update this policy as the app, services, or legal requirements change. The effective date on this page shows the current bundled policy version.
